BUILDING TECHNOLOGY TOURS

In partnership with Meadowlark Design+Build, The “Behind The Drywall” Tour series returns at The Bridge! These 1-hour guided tours are a rare opportunity to see the technology that goes into the world’s most advanced homes – underneath the finishes.

Tours are free, but please fill out the form to register for a tour. If you do not receive a confirmation email, please check your spam folder.

This unique project will have tours throughout the building process to highlight advanced building techniques and sustainable finishes, check back for future tour dates!

This is an active construction site, appropriate clothing and closed-toe shoes are required.

Here are just some of the topics we’ll cover in the Behind the Drywall Tour series.

Thermally-Wrapped Exterior Envelopes

Provides exceptional energy efficiency and interior comfort.

Passive and Active Geothermal Heating and Cooling

Using the heat energy of the ground to both temper incoming fresh air and provide the heating and cooling energy needed to keep the building at ideal temperatures year-round.

Swiss-Made Ventilation Systems

A state-of-the-art ventilation system continuously provides triple-filtered fresh air that is cleaner than outside to all living and sleeping areas with only a tiny energy penalty and helps modulate humidity in the home.

Radiant Floor Heating and Cooling

High-mass floors with integral heating and cooling make an efficient and exceedingly comfortable delivery system that holds preferred temperatures rock-steady all the time. Radiant floor cooling is extremely unusual in the United States, but is popular in Europe.

Split System Heat Pump Hot Water Heating

The Sanden ECO2 system operates with a compressor outside and the hot water tank inside. The system uses CO2 as a refrigerant gas for highly efficient operation and a high temperature lift that kills all bacteria. The ECO2 system is the most efficient hot water heating equipment on the planet.

Heat Recovery Drains

Why allow all the heat energy in the hot water flow down the drain and out of the house? Heat recovery drains recycle up to 60% of the heat energy before exiting the building.

Efficient and Healthy Water Systems

Sustainable plumbing materials and whole-house water filtration systems make The Bridge one of the healthiest and most efficient water delivery systems available.

Low-Voltage Lighting

Low-energy designer lighting that can be programmed to work with human circadian rhythms, or any other patterns of living, and controllable from a smartphone. Any switch can turn on any light, or any group of lights, at any color temperature and intensity.

Tilt-and-Turn, Triple-Pane Euro-Windows

Extremely efficient windows that make opening and cleaning easy.

Abundant Natural Light and Outdoor Living Areas

Connection to natural light and nature is a primary human desire. Designing biophilic spaces has a measurable impact human health and well-being.

Sustainable and Healthy Building Products

Care was taken to select building products that are environmentally-friendly and healthy for occupants to live with.
